Mine was quite abismol but then again, new town, different christmas and lots of getting used to.
People in Joburg aren't really excited about christmas it seems, either that or they don't celebrate it.
Honestly, in CPT there's markets and most shops are open and even if you're just staying in xmas day you still feel as if you're doing something because the atmosphere is great.
Here it's closed shops and empty streets, no lights.
It's as if the city shut down in an atheist protest.
Amazing, I think.
